About the circuit
The track
The Anneau du Rhin is a private circuit in Alsace, in the flat Rhine plain close to Germany and Switzerland. It has several layouts, from a 1.1 km training loop to the 3.7 km competition circuit and a 4.0 km leisure layout. Unlike most circuits, it is open for driving with your own car or motorbike on most days, with sessions bought on site.
Signature corners
The circuits combine long straights with a mix of hairpins and faster bends, laid out on flat ground with good visibility. The variety of layouts means you can choose a shorter loop to learn and move on to the longer competition circuit.
Who it suits
The circuit is flat, safe and open on most days, which makes it well suited to beginners and to anyone who wants regular track time without booking a full trackday. The noise limit is 100 dB, so a car with its original silencer is the safe choice.
Getting there
The circuit is at Biltzheim, between Colmar and Mulhouse, about 20 km south of Colmar. The EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is about 35 minutes away by car, and Freiburg in Germany about 40 minutes.
