About the circuit
The track
The Masaryk circuit near Brno, run by Automotodrom Brno, opened in 1987 and replaced the old road course nearby. It is 5,403 m long and 15 m wide, with 14 corners (six left, eight right). The lap climbs and falls through wooded hills: the height difference is almost 74 m, with gradients of up to 7.5%. For many years it hosted the Czech motorcycle Grand Prix.
Signature corners
The lap is a series of fast, flowing corners that link into each other, with the steep uphill section towards the end of the lap testing your car’s power and your braking on the way down. Corner radii range from about 50 m to 300 m.
Who it suits
Brno rewards a smooth, committed driving style and plenty of practice. The circuit rules set a maximum noise level of 107 dB, so most road and track cars are welcome; check the limit of each event.
