About the circuit
The track
The Circuit Jules Tacheny in Mettet, in the province of Namur, is a compact 2.3 km circuit with a long history of motorbike racing on the roads around the village. Today it runs trackdays, supermoto, rallycross and club racing, and it is known for its relaxed atmosphere and affordable track time.
Signature corners
The lap is a mix of short straights and tight, technical corners where line choice matters more than top speed. Several corners are linked, so a good exit from one sets up the next.
Who it suits
Mettet is short and technical, so it suits a first trackday, motorbikes, supermoto and smaller cars. Speeds stay moderate, which makes it a good place to learn and to practise consistency. Because the lap is short, you complete many laps in each session, so you learn the circuit quickly.
Getting there
Mettet lies about 20 km south of Namur. Brussels South Charleroi airport is about 30 minutes away by car, and Brussels about an hour. The circuit is easy to reach by motorway from Brussels, Liège and the south of the Netherlands.
