About the circuit

The track

Circuit Zolder lies in the woods of Limburg, in Heusden-Zolder. The 4.0 km circuit hosted the Belgian Grand Prix in the 1970s and 1980s and today runs touring car races, endurance events and many trackdays. Its character comes from fast sections broken up by tight chicanes.

Signature corners

The lap starts with a fast right-hander into the Lucien Bianchi bend, followed by chicanes that need hard, straight-line braking. The Bolderberg hairpin is a key overtaking spot, and the Jacky Ickx chicane leads onto the last part of the lap.

Who it suits

Zolder has short straights and several tight chicanes, so it suits drivers who want to practise braking and precision. Kerbs play a big role here. The circuit is popular with Belgian and Dutch organisers, and many days welcome beginners.

Getting there

The circuit is near Heusden-Zolder, about 15 km north of Hasselt. Brussels and Eindhoven airports are both about an hour away by car.
