About the circuit
The track
Snetterton in Norfolk is built on a former Second World War airfield, so it is flat and open, and the wind can play a part. The main 300 layout is 4.8 km and includes the longest straight of any UK circuit. Shorter 100 and 200 layouts are used for some events.
Signature corners
Riches, the long right-hander at the start, sets up the lap, and the tight Agostini hairpin is a key braking point. After the long Bentley straight, the Brundle and Nelson corners lead into the fast Bomb Hole and Coram curves before Murrays, the final corner.
Who it suits
Snetterton is flat and fast with plenty of space, so it suits drivers of most levels. The long straights give time to settle between corners, and the hairpins are good places to practise braking. Noise limits are typically 105 dB static and 92 dB drive-by.
Getting there
The circuit is just off the A11 between Thetford and Norwich, about 25 miles south-west of Norwich. Norwich airport is about 45 minutes away by car, and London Stansted about 1 hour 15 minutes.
