About the circuit
The track
Oulton Park lies in rolling parkland in Cheshire, among trees, lakes and old estate grounds. The circuit is narrow and undulating, with blind crests and little run-off, which gives it a classic, old-school character. The International layout is 4.3 km; shorter Island and Fosters layouts are also used.
Signature corners
Cascades is a fast downhill left-hander that leads into the lakeside section. Druids is a long, fast right-hander, Knickerbrook a tricky corner after a crest, and Hislop’s chicane slows the cars before the run back to the start. Lodge, the final corner, is a tight right that rewards a good exit.
Who it suits
Oulton Park is narrow, undulating and has little run-off, so it suits drivers with some track experience who want a proper challenge. Newcomers can drive here too, but should take it steadily and consider an instructor. Noise limits are typically 105 dB static and 92 dB drive-by.
