About the circuit
The track
The Slovakia Ring lies near Orechová Potôň in south-west Slovakia, about 50 km from Bratislava. Opened in 2009, it is one of the longest permanent circuits in Central Europe: 5,922 m, 12 m wide, with a 900 m start-finish straight that is 20 m wide. Several layouts can be used, including a shorter variant with an extra chicane.
Signature corners
Long straights end in heavy braking zones, and the crests on the back section hide the apex of several corners. The sequence from turn 10 to 12 is where most overtaking happens, and the run from the penultimate corner onto the start-finish straight is flat out.
Who it suits
With its long straights and wide run-off, the circuit rewards power and good braking. On the public driving days (“voľné jazdy”) for cars and motorbikes you drive your own vehicle without an organiser; check the conditions and noise rules for each date.
Getting there
The circuit is about 45 minutes by car from Bratislava airport, and Vienna airport is roughly an hour and a quarter away.
