During open lapping (Touristenfahrten) the circuit is open to the public: you drive your own road-legal vehicle (which vehicles are allowed differs per circuit) and pay per lap or per session. It is a one-day event at Hockenheimring, organised by Hockenheim-Ring GmbH.
