What does a trackday cost?

The entry fee is the biggest cost, but not the only one. Here are the published prices per circuit and everything else to budget for.

Published “from” prices (in euros; in pounds at UK circuits) for upcoming days to drive on Trackstr, read on the organisers’ own websites. Prices change: the organiser’s website is always leading.

What determines the price?

  • The circuit: famous tracks like Spa-Francorchamps cost more to rent.
  • The format: open pit lane for a whole day costs more than a few sessions.
  • The number of cars on track: fewer cars means more room, and a higher price.
  • What is included: instructors, lunch, photos, a hired car or a hotel.
  • Day of the week: weekends are often more expensive than weekdays.

Other costs to plan for

  • Fuel: on track a car uses much more fuel than on the road.
  • Tyres and brakes: they wear quickly on a circuit.
  • A helmet (buy or rent) and possibly a passenger fee.
  • Trackday insurance, if you want cover for damage to your car.
  • Travel and, for circuits further away, a hotel.

How to save money

  • Book early: many organisers have early-booking prices.
  • Look at weekdays and at the end of the season.
  • Share the day with a friend if the organiser allows two drivers per car.
  • Compare organisers at the same circuit: on Trackstr you see them side by side.
